Information for IFSH library’s
users
The IFSH library is primarily intended for IFSH and
ZNF staff and doctoral students, as well as students
of the Master of Peace and Security Studies programme.
Only these persons are entitled to borrowing privileges.
Following rules apply to all other users:
- The IFSH library is a reference library. No items
may be borrowed, except for photocopying.
- Only items currently available may be provided.
Items that have been borrowed by internal users
cannot be reserved by other users.
- As far as articles are concerned, please first
check the availability of the corresponding journal
through the Campus Catalogue of the University of
Hamburg.
- No copying machines are available in the library.
Please bring your identity card, if you wish to
borrow items to make copies.
- The IFSH library has only one desk for conducting
research and max. five reading places; if these
places are occupied, no further visitors may be
admitted.
- Before visiting us, please inform yourself about
our collection through the Campus Catalogue.

- Many reports are also available in full text form
in the internet and may be downloaded free of charge.

Union Institute for Security Studies, HSFK, IFAR,
