Background
Hans-Georg Ehrhart, born in 1955 in Bonn, studied Political Science, Sociology and Philosophy at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn and earned his Dr. phil. in 1986 about the topic “The German question from the French view”. He received scholarships from the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation and the Volkswagen-Foundation, completed research residencies at the Fondation pour les Etudes de Défense nationale, Paris (1988) as well as the Centre for International Relation of Queen's University (1993) and was Senior Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Security Studies of the EU in Paris (2001). From 1987 to 1989 he worked as a researcher in the Working Group Security and Disarmament of the research institute of the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation. Since 1996 Hans-Georg Erhart has been the Head of the Count Baudissin.International Fellowship Programme.
