Changes in the Forms of Violence and War

The focus in this cluster is on how the use of organized violence (up to and including war) has changed in the last two decades. Using empirical and theoretical analyses, causes, processes and dynamics of this change are studied. The IFSH is carrying out these analyses as part of a research consortium with other institutions in Hamburg which have a high level of expertise in this area of research.
