Background
Hendrik Hegemann studied political science, modern history, and international and European law at the University of Freiburg and the University Washington at Seattle. He obtained his master’s degree with a mark of distinction in June 2008. Since October 2008 Hendrik Hegemann has been a PhD candidate at the IFSH. His dissertation examines the role of international organizations in the fight against terrorism. Between December 2008 and November 2011 he held a doctoral scholarship from the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation. Since December 2011 he has been a researcher at the IFSH and, starting in June 2012, works in the EU-funded project ‘Analysis of Civil Security Systems in Europe’ (ANVIL).
