Benjamin Hofbauer is a postdoctoral researcher at the IFSH. He is part of the Cluster of Excellence Climate, Climatic Change, and Society II (CLICCS II) at Universität Hamburg, specifically working on project A4 – Extreme Adaptation to Climate Change. From September 2023 to January 2026, Benjamin Hofbauer was a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) in Potsdam as part of the Horizon Europe Directed project, focusing on the integration of Climate Change Adaptation strategies and Disaster Risk Management. He completed his PhD in Ethics/Philosophy of Technology at the Technical University Delft in the Netherlands, where he explored the ethical aspects of risk and uncertainty in the research governance of solar radiation manipulation.
