Vita
Kirsten Hartmann is a PhD Researcher in the project “Protection Mainstreaming through Valuation Practices in the United Nations” which forms part of the DFG Research Unit PROMISE. Prior to joining IFSH, she worked in the programme unit European and International Politics at the Bundeskanzler-Helmut-Schmidt-Stiftung on Youth, Peace and Security, the future of UN peace operations and peacebuilding. Before that, Kirsten Hartmann was a Carlo Schmid Fellow at the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office and a working student at the Berghof Foundation. She holds a Master degree in Peace Research and International Relations from the University of Tübingen and a Bachelor degree in International Relations from the University of Erfurt.
