Are you looking for an environment characterised by academic rigour and a supportive atmosphere in which to pursue a PhD? IFSH may be the right place for you. Close support from mentors and peers is the key to a focused and successful doctorate. At the heart of our PhD programme, therefore, is an approach that combines community-building elements with a supervision model that deliberately opens up close bilateral relationships between first supervisors and the doctoral researchers.
At the core of this supervision concept are the Thesis Advisory Committees, which are set up for each doctoral project. They align with international standards, establish clear development plans and meet at least once a year.
Also of great importance is the close integration of the planned PhD programme with the Graduate School of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg. This enables ECTS credit points to be awarded and allows for mutual recognition of and/or access to course offerings.
Our PhD programme is currently in the planning phase and is expected to launch in 2027. While we are therefore unable to accept applications at this time, further details will be available here soon.
What we offer
