The book that will first be published in Polish under the title "Przed Waszą Erą" ("Before Your Age") explores the place of humans in a world increasingly shaped by generative artificial intelligence. The author Dr Mateusz Łabuz takes readers through multiple areas of contemporary life – labour market, politics, relationships, memory, and death. It shows how synthetic media are reshaping human relationships, our emotions, our decision-making processes, and even our sense of identity. In doing so, the book reverses the usual perspective on technological development. The focus is not the technology itself but the human beings living within an increasingly synthetic environment. Written for a broad audience, the book addresses some of the most intensely debated topics of our time and invites readers to reflect on a fundamental question: how can we preserve human agency and authenticity in a reality increasingly shaped by artificial systems?
