Peace Research Community Europe (PEACE)
The Peace Research Community Europe (PEACE) is a collaboration of leading European peace and conflict research institutes, including IFSH. This trans-European, interdisciplinary research network aims to improve understanding of the current challenges to peace and security in Europe, initiate research collaborations and engage with policy and practice. It focuses on five key topics:
- Climate & peace
- Peace from a feminist perspective
- Local peace
- Peace and new technologies
- Europe, peace and security
In addition, the network offers funding opportunities for early-career researchers and organises public events. It is also establishing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and information.
Dr Holger Niemann is a member of the network's core group. IFSH Director Prof Dr Ursula Schröder and Dr Holger Niemann also head the working group on 'Europe, Peace & Security'.
The network is funded by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) as Cost Action 23129 for four years.
