In November 2025, the city of Hamburg awarded IFSH’s everyday research partners with its Literature Prize. The creative artist collective ‘Girls from Jupiter’ received the prize in the category ‘Drama and Experimental’ for their artistic documentary project ‘Forbidden Feelings in Times of War’. Since autumn 2023, seven women from Ukraine, Russia and Germany have been exploring personal feelings related to Russia's war of aggression in Ukraine in interviews. They then worked up these feelings, which often remain hidden, in the form of a reading in three languages for the stage. Three of the members of the collective – screen- and playwright Nana Grinstein, formerly residing in Moscow, Nataliia Reznichenko, journalist from Kyiv, and Hamburg-based artist Julia Zeichenkind, who grew up in Kazakhstan – are currently active as everyday research partners in Dr Regina Heller's IFSH research project ‘Spaces of Peace’. The project examines the experiences of migrants from the post-Soviet space in Germany whose lives have been affected by the Russian aggression against Ukraine. It involves non-academics and academics in joint research and knowledge production.
